Jesse R. Hodgson utilizes the ability to “think outside the box” as well as use of conventional methods to assist clients to arrive at their desired destination. He helps clients determine their objectives and goals from the beginning and helps clients meet these objectives so as to ensure maximum value to the client.

Jesse handles complex loan transactions, workouts, modifications and restructuring of debt. He provides a variety of legal services and counsel for financial institutions ensuring compliance with federal and state banking regulations.

Additionally, Jesse handles the collection of past due debts for a wide variety of industries and individuals and also represents consumers to settle past due debts.

Jesse provides counsel for corporate structuring. He is able to provide advice and assist clients in the formation, dissolution, purchase and/or sale of businesses, including stock purchases/sales and asset purchases/sales. His expertise in business formation ensures compliance with state and federal regulations for diverse and numerous industries.

He is also able to assist existing business in governance, employment agreements and non-compete agreements. Jesse provides contract formation and documentation, contract review, negotiation of existing of proposed contracts and dispute resolution of contractual terms.

In the area of real estate law, Jesse provides counsel for real estate purchases and sales, including land contracts, mortgages, promissory notes, leases, subdivision, condominiums and real property financing, whether individual or corporate. Jesse performs numerous real estate closings each year, which includes providing title examinations, title opinions, title insurance policies and drafting closing documentation.

Jesse also has considerable experience with estate planning and estate administration. He uses numerous devices of estate planning and existing law to effectively ensure the proper and efficient transfer of wealth from generation to generation, no matter the size of the estate. Jesse is able to advise and reduce the possible implications of estate tax through proper planning so as to achieve the desired results of his clients. In the area of estate planning, Jesse provides a variety of documentation, including wills, revocable trusts, irrevocable trusts, powers of attorney, health care powers of attorney and living wills.

Jesse also handles numerous probate estates to assist heirs in the administration of the estate and proper distribution of assets and payment of claims. This includes the appointment of executors, administrators and trustees in the probate process as well as the preparation of state and federal estate tax returns and inheritance tax returns.

Jesse provides counsel in the area of elder law, particularly Medicaid planning, to ensure compliance with existing law and provide advice to those seeking Medicaid eligibility. Jesse is able to counsel those seeking Medicaid eligibility, and their loved ones, about the qualification process and how to effectively obtain and retain Medicaid qualification.

Jesse also provides numerous services in the area of construction law. He has worked with contractors to provide contract review, negotiation, dispute resolution, collections, lien preparation and lien enforcement regarding both private construction jobs and high profile state jobs, including highway construction and building construction.

Jesse is a lifelong resident of Mount Sterling, Kentucky and much of his family resides in the area.

In his free time, Jesse enjoys horse racing, golfing, traveling, tennis and volunteering his time to serve others in numerous civic and charitable activities.
